“American Icon”, is the first creation of CrystalArt Inc., formed to combine the skills and talents of Ken and Annie Burkitt. CrystalArt Inc’s “American Icon” car features over one-million Swarovski crystals in 50 different shades of color to represent the 50 states.
Handcrafted, each stone was meticulously placed by four people – an undertaking that took six months to complete. The car depicts America’s most revered iconic scenery and symbols including The Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, The White House, The American Flag and the Eagle, among others. “American Icon” heralds the introduction of CrystalArt’s new and exciting range of crystal greeting cards. Worth of over one million dollars, “American Icon” is a classic tribute to American imagery. “American Icon” will be displayed outside of the Jacob Javits Center at the 2007 New York City Auto Show, on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 9:30 am, to kick-off the week’s festivities.

Is it just me, or would it seem that if you set out to make an "American Icon" out of an automobile, maybe you should pick one made in the USA????
