I really doubt it was a screw up, i'm positive it was purposely done in the name of art. Why else would the numbers in the circle be perfectly carved out?

probably built by a contractor who had taken BS from one too many customers ;).

I've seen this picture before, but without the carved circle/numbers. The extra step may be true, but the rest is definitvely photoshopped.

but it was placed. if you look carefully at the top left corner of the strange angled step, you can see 2 of the dashes from the curved-edge rectangle that's in the drawing
